Mpls.St.Paul Magazine Names Seven Midwest Radiology Physicians as “Top Doctors”
Midwest Radiology congratulates the following physicians for being named 2019 Top Doctors by Mpls.St.Paul magazine. The Top Doctors list appears in the magazine’s July issue. Doctors are nominated by other doctors and health care professionals based on the exceptional care they provide to patients. From there, candidates are evaluated on factors including peer recognition and professional achievement. Final nominees are reviewed and evaluated by a “blue ribbon” panel.
Dr. Ellen Abeln specializes in Breast Imaging and Body Imaging and is a Fellow of The American College of Radiology. She serves as medical director of The Breast Center of Suburban Imaging and earned her MD from the University of Minnesota and her fellowship from the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Aaron Binstock specializes in Body Imaging and Oncology Imaging. He is the medical director and director of oncology imaging at Suburban Imaging’s north metro clinics. Dr. Binstock earned his MD from University of South Florida and his fellowship from Mayo Clinic.
Dr. John Knoedler specializes in Body Imaging. He earned his MD from the University of Minnesota, where he also completed residencies in internal medicine and diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in pulmonary medicine.
Dr. Michael Madison is President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwest Radiology and part of the Interventional Neuroradiology team. Dr. Madison attended the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in interventional neuroradiology.
Dr. Alexandra Muschenheim is part of the Breast Imaging team. After earning her MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School, Dr. Muschenheim completed residencies in diagnostic radiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the University of Minnesota. She was also a fellow in cardiovascular and interventional radiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Dr. Richard Thompson specializes in Body Imaging and Oncology Imaging. He also serves on the Board of Trustees for Fairview Southdale Hospital. He earned his MD from Mayo Medical School, where he also completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in abdominal imaging.
Dr. Mark Veldman specializes in Body Imaging. He earned his MD from the University of Minnesota and completed his fellowship in Cross-Sectional Imaging at Mayo Clinic.
“With our combined talent and resources, we can provide subspecialty radiology services around the clock to patients,” said Dr. Madison. “We really do pride ourselves on the fact that the care we provide to our patients at 3 a.m. and 3 p.m. is the same – and our people have everything to do with that.”
