Epidural Steroid Injection Safety
To Our Patients and Referring Providers:
In light of national media attention regarding meningitis caused by a medication used during epidural steroid injection, the physicians and staff of St. Paul Radiology Imaging Centers would like to provide some important information. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued a warning related to an injectable steroid medication manufactured by the New England Compounding Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. See the attached link from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH)
